For the churros:
• 1 cup water
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 egg
• Oil for frying
For coating:
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon For chocolate sauce:
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1 cup dark or milk chocolate (chopped) ⸻ Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, salt, and oil (or butter) to a boil.
2. Remove from heat and add flour. Stir until a smooth dough forms.
3. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then mix in the egg until fully combined.
4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
5. Heat oil in a deep pan (medium heat).
6. Pipe strips of dough directly into the hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes per side).
7. Remove and place on paper towels.
8. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then roll the warm churros in it. Chocolate Sauce: 1. Heat the cream until warm (do not boil). 2. Pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth. Serve warm and dip in chocolate. Enjoy
